Heavy Psych Sounds Fest 2026

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest returns to Athens on April 3 & 4, 2026 , announcing the first line-up names and setting the bar extremely high from the start. Two historic headliners, along with strong presences from the contemporary doom and heavy psych scene, make up the first phase of the festival.
Planet of Zeus (GR)
One of the most iconic heavy rock bands Greece has ever produced, Planet of Zeus , will take to the stage of Heavy Psych Sounds Fest 2026 as headliners with an exclusive set , dedicated to the albums Eleven the Hard Way , Macho Libre and Vigilante .
With a career that began in Athens in 2000 and spanned some of Europe’s biggest festivals (Wacken, Hellfest, Graspop, Desertfest, etc.), Planet of Zeus have established themselves as one of the most dynamic live bands on the European heavy metal scene. The raw energy, groove and sincerity of their performances have created a loyal audience that extends beyond the Greek borders.
Their appearance at Heavy Psych Sounds 2026 promises a back-to-the-roots set , full of riffs, sweat and pure rock ‘n’ roll power.
Colour Haze (DE)
True institutions of the European heavy psychedelic scene, Munich-based Colour Haze are coming as the festival’s second major headliner. With more than 25 years of experience and 14 albums to their credit, they are one of the most influential bands that shaped the modern heavy psych sound.
With a warm, organic sound, jam aesthetic and deep melodic approach, Colour Haze have influenced generations of musicians and continue to evolve. Their latest album, Sacred (2022), confirms their unique ability to combine groove, psychedelia and emotional depth, making them one of the most important bands in the European underground.
The first announcement is completed by 1782 (IT) , Witchthroat Serpent (FR) , as well as the Greeks Dismiss and Fuzzrider , further strengthening the weight and variety of the line-up.
Heavy Psych Sounds Fest 2026 promises a two-day event that will honor the festival’s tradition and leave an indelible mark on the memory of heavy, doom and psych rock fans.
